Les Douches la Galerie

Installed since 2006 in former public showers near the Canal Saint-Martin in Paris SHOWERS GALLERY under the artistic direction of Françoise Morin, highlights contemporary photography and history around what is commonly called "the documentary style "while also exhibiting works that explore and divert formal uses of photography.

Beyond the purely gallery, Les Douches propose new approaches to create proximity, solidarity between the different actors of the art world, whether professionals - institutional, gallery owners, journalists, curators - or amateurs.

As part of these actions, Les Douches La Galerie has established a partnership with the association Open City in order to offer lectures, and "white cards" for various actors in the world of contemporary art.
