Founded in April 1998 by Aris Evangelinos and Rallou Gromitsari, this museum is the first and only one of its kind in the world, dedicated to the art and history of worry beads, also known as komboloi.

These exquisite pieces are crafted from a variety of materials, including natural amber from the Baltic Sea, amber-mastic, Faturan amber, black coral (yusuri), red coral, ivory, bone, horn, and wood.
