The museum, housed in the architectural setting of the historic Martina palace, retraces life in six halls, the events and interests of Paolo Domenico Martina, prominent military figure during the Risorgimento. Born in Cravanzana in 1820, he followed a long and distinguished military career that allowed him to travel and devote themselves, especially in the second part of his long life, his passions: music and composition, watercolor painting, naturalistic collections. His biggest concern was though to agriculture and its territory so that his legacy destined establishment of an agrarian school that had life in Monforte between 1927 and 1954.


From the center of Monforte in which is located the museum departs the system of the seven paths that allow nature lovers to enjoy the landscape and the natural beauty of the area.
