Museo Etrusco Chianciano Terme

More than a museum has been called a complete, but not boring, showing the Etruscan civilization. The visit is in fact organized into thematic sections that illustrate all aspects of the life and death of the ancient inhabitants of Tuscany, through evocative reconstructions, descriptions, images and short video (2-3 min.).

All panels are translated in both English and German and French; the videos have English subtitles. And 'possible, for groups, enjoy a free guided tour (in Italian) by the Association of Volunteers geoarchaeological Chianciano.

The museum is structured on 4 floors, all accessible by elevator, is wheelchair-accessible, there are 3 toilets including one for disabled, has wardrobe, chairs for each plan available to visitors, free drinking water dispenser , possibility to have a coffee, two relaxation areas and a private parking, free internet point for visitors.

The museum is housed in an old barn in the early '800, in front of the villa with a public garden and church; very impressive the old cellar with long tunnel dug in the sand for sure historical, geological and architectural.
