Museum Alex Mylona

In the periphery of the Archaeological Park of Athens, Museum Alex Mylona (MAM) offers visitors a unique journey in contemporary art through the work of an Athenian sculptor, The Museum Alex Mylona inaugurated in March 2004, which in 2007 came through donation at the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art The museum is dedicated to works by Mylonas created during these fifty consistent and passionate engagement with the art: works in marble, bronze, iron and bronze, and collages, drawings and paintings exhibited in two of the three levels of the museum . The first floor hosts temporary exhibitions of contemporary Greek and international artists in collaboration with the Macedonian Museum of Contemporary Art. The building was designed in the 1920s by architect Claus Tsagkri, renovated according to the latest technical standards, providing accessibility to people with disabilities. It also offers a unique view of Athens from the roof (Lycabettus, the Acropolis and Keramikos). In this quiet environment, projects an impressive personality offer visitors the opportunity to examine the meaning and evolution of contemporary art.
