Presepe e Museo Etnografico "Le Genti della Laga"

Staged by Gino Di Benedetto with huge passion in over thirty years of research into countries, old farmsteads and rural areas of 'Abruzzo more hidden, in Torricella Sicura (6 km from Teramo) discover an unexpected time machine, the place where you can relive the atmosphere of our great-grandparents lived in Abruzzo Teramo valleys and mountains of the Gran Sasso and Laga. Engaging in exposure coexist three sections: the MINIATURE (with faithful reproduction of scenes and objects in scale 1: 5); the OBJECTS OF TIME AND THE ANCIENT ENVIRONMENT REAL SIZE REAL and VIRTUAL section made by this website. Supported by the patience of his wife Fabrizia Di Girolamo, Gino lives in a particular house-museum, built from nothing with his hands, in which he collected all sorts of antiquities. Over the past two years, not having the space to exhibit all its immense collection (about sixteen thousand pieces of antique objects) has decided to support to his collection a series of scenes in miniature, small and easily transportable. Under his overwhelming thrust is set to work with enthusiasm, experience and speed, some elderly craftsmen of Torricella, to create thumbnails of objects, built with the wisdom that comes from trade done over a lifetime.
