Rifugio Del Lago Scaffaiolo

Scaffaiolo lake is the best known among the high altitude of the Tuscan-Emilian lakes. Located at 1775 m.s.l.m. on the main ridge, not having their sources is fed by rainwater and snowmelt. The water is maintained by the low temperatures and the frequent clouds that limit its evaporation. The Refuge is located 50 meters from its shores and has the important task of stopping place for visitors to the GEA (Great Apennine Excursion) and Alta Via dei Parks. And 'it opens every day from June to September, during winter weekends.
