Theater im Neukloster

The theater in the Neukloster has been around since 1978. Since 1984, Christmas tales have been played with great success, as summer productions initially a colorful mix of boulevard comedies and Nestroy plays. Since 1996, musicals have been performed in the summer, including Andrew Lloyd Webber's Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (1996), Footloose (2005) and Disney's High School Musical (2007); We are particularly proud of our officially approved German premieres of Children of Eden (2000), Aida (school version) 2010 and A Wedding to Fall in love (2011), the European premiere of the Broadway musical Beth and her sisters (Little Women) in 2006 and the two World premieres "A Midsummer Night's Dream" (2004) and "Liaison" (2016).
