Villaggio Albergo San Lorenzo e Santa Caterina

On the slopes of the historic village of San Lorenzo (in Pescia, the town of floriculture in the province of Pistoia), born around the characteristic church of 1500 known for a source of water, is the VILLAGE ALBERGO SAN LORENZO & SANTA CATERINA. Here, in the 1700s, the two important paper mills 'San Lorenzo and Cerreto' were born, famous for the production of first hand precious paper and, subsequently, for the white and gray paper with 'air drying'. These historical factories cease their glorious production in 1960 (the first) and in 1975 (the second). Since then they have not been used for their original function, but the imposing machinery still today bears witness to the past in an area that, after a long and careful restructuring, has risen. The territory, surrounded by green hills and crossed by the river Pescia, is the setting for a splendid tourist-residential complex. The first building of the Village is the San Lorenzo hotel, consisting of 10 suites and 26 bedrooms. Furniture and equipment have been chosen with the aim of offering a warm and traditional atmosphere. The structure is air conditioned; the Antioco Ristoro della Cartiera wine shop is a typical restaurant used to taste the food and wine products of the area (also suitable for organizing ceremonies and banquets); the living, reading and entertainment rooms complete the hospitality of this ideal place for relaxing stays, in a natural environment where you can practice fishing and trekking. In front of the San Lorenzo hotel there is a second building: Hotel Santa Caterina, a delightful hotel with 31 personalized double rooms, 6 suites with a magnificent view of Pesciatina Switzerland, a pub, pizzeria, restaurant and air-conditioned congress hall: the ideal place to a business stay or a cultural holiday. Finally, the Villaggio has some apartments (two with two bedrooms, swimming pool-dining room and bathroom and two with living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom), a large parking and a relaxing pool.
