More info:

ViLLaRa is made out of love for design, hospitality, travelling and culture. We carefully selected every little detail of this unique urban “villa” to offer you an ideal stay in the Greek capital. As experienced travelers and also very experienced architects, we reconstructed a flat to fit your needs: perfect location, affordability, warm hospitality, local tips, guides&maps, functionality and great aesthetics. We hope that our passion will help you love Athens as much as we do.

ViLLaRa is a playful euphemism for our small and cozy flat. “Ra” is the suffix added to denote an increase in size. And considering our lovable 30 square meters, you hopefully get the joke. However, size is not really an issue when you are in the center of Athens, in one of its more charming neighborhoods (Kerameikos), in a flat designed by CaDu Architects.

Location The flat is located in a beautiful and quiet pedestrian street in the very unique district of Kerameikos. The location offers a great proximity to restaurants, bars and metro stations, and it is also within a walking distance to all main attractions such as Acropolis, Plaka, Agora, Monastiraki, Filopappou Hill, Benaki Museum, Psirri etc. Kerameikos is a rather mixed district, ideal for all types of travelers. Both calm and lively, full of little pedestrian streets, neoclassical buildings, amazing graffiti art, bars and restaurants (from traditional tavernas and street food kiosks to two of the very few Michelin-starred restaurants)

The flat The flat is recently renovated and designed with extreme care and attention to detail. Easy access with the metro from the airport, on the first floor with elevator. Very sunny and quiet, with a view to an open space covered with orange trees. The location is one of its great advantages as it isolated from the noise and fuss of the town and it is still right in the heart of it. The living room consists of a tailor-made multipurpose furniture that serves as a bed, couch, wardrobe, storage space etc.… feel free to fill the gaps with your own personal functions. Moreover, in the living room, you can find a series of books, comics and travel guides both in Greek and English. Needless to mention that there is also a wonderful kitchen, a bathroom (what a surprise), and a lovely little balcony with table and chairs. The flat has all the essentials for your stay: air-condition, wi-fi, sheets and towels and a fully equipped kitchen. Apart from the obvious, in the kitchen you will also find some basic materials such as olive oil, salt, pepper, oregano and of course coffee, sugar and tea. You will also have a small breakfast waiting for your first morning in the “Villa”.

Travel tips To make your stay even more joyful and unique, we prepared a series of customized maps, full of tips on our favorite places to visit (from restaurants and bars to little local “secrets”, nice walks or interesting places of all kinds). And you can also find two “official” Athens guides from Lonely Planet and Road Editions.
