Polog Region is located in the north east of the country. It borders Kosovo to the north, and Albania on the west....

The region has a breathtaking nature, with the Mavrovo National Park. It is also home to several picturesque villages such as Galicnik and Lazaropole, regarded as among the most beautiful villages in the Balkans. The region has a strong cultural heritage: you should not forget to visit the monastery of Saint John Bigorski, the ottoman heritage of Tetovo and the village of Vrutok.
