Altrincham Market

Altrincham is one of the original market towns. It's charter dates back to 1290. Situated at the intersection of the fertile Cheshire farm belt and the commercial commuter zone of Manchester the town has a long and important history.

Altrincham Market is now at the heart of the re-invention of the town to make it 'the' modern market town.

Weekends host the very popular themed weekend markets covering regional food producers, vintage fashion and furniture, home house & garden and contemporary craft.

Market House has been converted into a "permanent gusto hub and canteen where people can eat from a variety of top notch food slingers" (according to Olive Magazine).

Market House is home to 10 independent quality food operators including Honest Crust wood fired pizza "among the country's best"; Wolfhouse Kitchen (former Rose Bakery pastry & savoury chefs); Tender Cow (rare breed flat iron steak & chips); Jack in the Box (craft beers); Reserve Wines (BBC Food & Drink Kate Goodman's wine bar/shop); Great North Pie Co. (multi award winning pies); Sam Joseph (hand made chocolates) and Market House Coffee (serving Atkinsons of Lancaster coffee).

There are no table reservations, and at peak times it can be very, very busy!
