Casa Farella was born from an idea of a young Altamurano, passionate about Modernism. Roberto Farella, collects and recovers objects from the past bringing them back to life, giving shape to a true and familiar environment. A place where you can live experiences, share routes and moments that will give the guest the feeling of feeling truly at home.

The house, located in the heart of the historic center of Altamura, the "Lioness of Puglia", is a house of the 50s, finely restructured and equipped with an exquisitely vintage environment. It is located a few steps from the splendid Cathedral, erected by Frederick II of Swabia in 1232 and dedicated to Santa Maria Assunta.

It offers furnished mini-apartments with a panoramic terrace overlooking the monumental bell towers of the Cathedral. Composed of 3 apartments, it can accommodate up to 13 people. All apartments have a flat-screen TV, a kitchenette with crockery, a bathroom with a shower and a washing machine, free Wi-Fi, a panoramic terrace, secure parking, and bicycle hire.

"Casa Farella" meets the needs of those who want to spend a holiday in complete autonomy and tranquility, immersed in the history and culture of a city that owes its rebirth to one of the most important and fascinating figures of the Middle Ages, Emperor Frederick II.

On foot you can immerse yourself in the characteristic claustri et strictulae, admire the numerous churches and valuable palaces, stumble across the ancient wood-fired ovens where you can taste the excellence that has made Altamura famous throughout the world, the PDO Bread.

Just 5 km from the Murgia center is the Lamalunga Visitor Center. It is advisable to reach the center to see the photos and videos in 3D that simulate the cave where the Altamura Man is still present. This is an international discovery: it is a complete human skeleton (Neanderthal) discovered for the first time in Europe. Not far from here, along 3 km, you come across the Pulo, deep Dolina Carsica whose diameter is about 500 meters, with a maximum depth of 75 meters. In addition, 6 km from the historic center is the Cava dei Dinosauri, the most important and rich site in Europe with about 30,000 footprints.

These are just some of the beauties that make Altamura unique and worthy of interest.

For those not satisfied, 20 km you can visit the "City of the Sassi", Matera, proclaimed "European Capital of Culture 2019" or even suggestive places like Gravina in Puglia (13 km), Castel del Monte (50 km - Site Unesco), the Caves of Castellana (60 km), the Trulli of Alberobello (67 km - Unesco site), Polignano a mare (82 Km).
