The town of Trun is located in the northwestern part of the Pernik district 48 km away, and 72 km from Sofia. A 18km long road crosses it from the Republic of Serbia. The gorge of the Erma River is one of the most picturesque places in the Republic of Bulgaria, created by the erosive activity of the river and the penetration and through the high to (200m) vertical steep rocks. Lomniskoto Gorge is included in the list of "100 National Tourist Sites". For lovers of the more extreme mountain walking we recommend the Tran Eko trail to the locality of Green Belle with a length of 13.2 km. and is one of the first specialized forms of infrastructure and eco-tourist sites in Bulgaria.
