Galleria 2000&Novecento

After nearly sixteen years in the historical Via Emilia San Pietro in Reggio Emilia, from 1 June 2015, the Art Gallery 2000 & NOVECENTO moved in via Sessi 1 / F, in the heart of the city. The new office is located next to the Bank of Italy and borders with what was once the historic building of the Italian Post Office and that, in the near future, will become the new shopping mall which already appears to be the most important intervention urban-building in the historic center of Reggio Emilia in the last 50 years. The gallery was founded in 1999 as a logical consequence of three decades of collecting "non-stop" and a degree in art history. The brand in 2000 & NOVECENTO contains professional gallery intent: the historical part, with a look towards artists unjustly considered "minor", and increased attention to the contemporary, looking for artists who have an innovative sign. The interest in painting by Carlo Mattioli, after twenty-eight years of research, has brought the gallery to have the most complete collection of this artist and to be a national reference point for collectors, art dealers and auction houses.
