Ginjinha Rubi

Next to the 'ginjinha' liquors, the biggest presence in Ginjinha Rubi are the events and stories shown in the wall mosaics of the shop. Although they may tell different versions of the same story: acording to one mosaic, the house opened in 1931; the painted glass reads 1935. This peculiar liqueur store has the particularity of being one of the last to produce its own 'ginjinha', which can be seen on display around the wall shelves and is produced in a traditional manner very close, in Arroios. After asking for a cup, customers gather around the shop, in the street, enjoying the drink and telling their stories to each other. Like many other shops of the kind, the ambient here is of communion. Besides the liqueur, there are some snacks and other drinks.
