Ginjinha Sem Rival was founded at the end of XIXth century and still has much of the design from that time, with an added touch of art-déco later in the 1920s. But the main motive are the bottles, that even surround the entrance. The shop opens at 8 in the morning, serving drinks through the entire day, be it 'ginjinha', 'eduardino' or other liqueurs. Sem Rival also keeps the recipes of liqueurs that have stopped being commercialized nowadays, and provides drinks for other liqueur houses scattered around Lisboa. Like every other shop of this kind, the customer can take a cup directly from the balcony and stay just outside, be it day or night.
