The Sistrot is first and foremost the story of two brothers, Erwan and Ronan, epicureans and passionate about good food and good drinking. Both have an engineering background in the field of chemistry / biology.   After starting their career in Europe, they spent the last 5 years in the beautiful province of Quebec, the place where their idea sprouted, little by little.   The adventure began with the conversion of Erwan, who became a crêpier and quickly became the owner of La Crêpanita, a beautiful little neighborhood creperie that he was able to develop brilliantly, proposing a menu of original crepes based only on fresh produce. even being awarded Montreal's Best Crêperie by Le Point in its 2015 annual issue on Canada.

Ronan cooks him a lot, at home, for his friends, and driven by his researcher's spirit, he likes to constantly try new recipes. Since his seven years in Brussels, he has fallen for quality craft beer, and that's not what's missing in Montreal.   Both of them absolutely want to work together one day, and create something new. Ideas germinate, projects are put on paper, but finally fail. This is not the right time, the day will come.   And this day comes in November 2015. For Erwan, the call of Brittany is too strong, he wants to return. He digs his brains, ideas fuse, and suddenly ... But why not a cider bar? Ronan embarks, they refine the idea, develop the project, and that's it, the decision is made, the 2 brothers will return to their homeland and open a cider bar.   It is a traditional product of our terroir, a healthy product that both brothers love. It is also a noble product, resulting from the agriculture and know-how of passionate craftsmen, as can champagne for example, but still a simple and popular product.   What can you eat at Sistrot?   The Sistrot will be a place dedicated to the discovery of cider. Its name is derived from the Breton word Sistr, which means cider.   The idea is to offer different references of ciders with different organoleptic characteristics that highlight the know-how of cidriculturists and the subtleties of the ciders they create. The map should include about fifty references, only farm or craft ciders, including lesser known specialties such as pear (pear cider), rose cider, or ice cider, very popular in Quebec.   Erwan and Ronan will also offer other apple alcohols such as pommel, chouchen, lambig, or gwen.

Homemade or artisanal soft drinks such as apple or pear juice will also be on the menu. Finally, you can also enjoy delicious cocktails, with or without alcohol, including at least one product from the apple or pear.   This discovery will be accompanied by a fresh and original catering menu. They will propose to you boards to share (verrines, sandwiches, cheeses, fruits ......) as well as dishes with a reminder with cider and / or apples, some original crepes and desserts. All the dishes proposed will be prepared with fresh products and the card will be renewed every week.   You can also participate in tasting evenings to learn more about cider and its characteristics.
