Musée de la Faience de Moustiers

Moustiers The museum is spread on the ground floor of the hotel Bertet of Clue, mansion of the 18th century. The museum traces the circuit, with the collections of this museum of France, the major stages of working clay since the early 16th century. Visitors are greeted by a huge enlargement of a photograph of Saint-Marcel Eysseric, dated 1890. The earthenware production Moustiers, still alive, present contemporary pieces, allowing the museum to fully participate in radiation of the city and its arts and crafts activity.

The museum renovation of the Museum of Moustiers faience was produced with the support of the European Union - European Regional Development Fund under the ALCOTRA program (Latin Alps Transboundary Cooperation France Italy) 2007-2013 - "Together par- beyond boundaries' - Project CERAMICARTE with the town of Mondovi (Italy) and the collaboration of Sèvres, City of Ceramics. This operation has received funding from the Regional Provence Alpes Côte d'Azur Council, the General Council of the Alpes de Haute-Provence and the city of Moustiers-Sainte-Marie.
