The Parish Museum of Tapestries of Pastrana is a space belonging to the Church, recently restored and conditioned to host the series of Gothic-Flemish tapestries of the late fifteenth century. They narrate the conquests of Asilah and Tangier by Alfonso V of Portugal in 1471, feats for which he was nicknamed "the African". They were restored in the Belgian city of Mechelen and after a tour of museums in Europe and the United States, they return to Pastrana, where the museum was inaugurated on October 10, 2014.

We invite you to come and enjoy this collection of tapestries, considered one of the most important in the world at the end of the 15th century, in its own historical and architectural setting, in which the figures of the First Dukes of Pastrana and Princes of Éboli imprimieron a unique character to the physiognomy of its buildings, streets and squares, which with their characteristic Castilian charm, invite us to travel through all corners led by a kind of enchantment that transports us to past ages.

The museum includes two other rooms in which works of painting, sculpture and goldsmith work of diverse authorship and period are exhibited, among which are works by Juan de Borgoña, Juan Carreño de Miranda and carvings attributed to Francisco Salzillo and Alonso Cano.

We finish the tour with a visit to the pantheon of the Church where the mortal remains of the Princes of Éboli and the Mendoza del Infantado rest, the latter from the crypt of the Convent of San Francisco in Guadalajara.
