Museum of Contemporary Art - The name is program

The museum is a forum for important artistic and social debates, equally committed to art and the public. It questions current developments and opens up new perspectives. Dynamics and change are the program. In changing exhibitions elementary themes of our time are reflected. The metaphor of the ideal museum is the guiding principle. Internationally and nationally known artists are guests here.

From the rich collections of works of the 20th and 21st centuries, there is always a selection of the Classical Modern. Represented are prominent artists such as Otto Dix, Karl Hofer, August Macke and Paula Modersohn-Becker.

The building is located in Marienstr. 10a. It is housed in the former girls' public school Adelhausen, which was built in 1902 in a historicizing style and rebuilt from 1984 to 1985 by the Adelhauserstiftung for the new use.
