At Castania Pension, located in one of the most unexplored tourist areas of the country, "Oltenia below the mountain", you will enjoy the freshness of the mountain air, delightful views, the silence interrupted only by the bells of the Polovragi Monastery and tasty food, and healthy.

   For accommodation, we offer 10 double rooms, and for families two apartments for four persons. They are all modernly furnished, tastefully furnished and are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness.

   In the restaurant of the pension can be enjoyed culinary preparations with regional and Romanian specific. Together with the conference room, a generous space is created that allows the organization of events such as weddings, baptisms, anniversaries or team buildings.

   The reception, the salon and the conference room also form a common space for leisure, either by watching a movie or with table football games, the Wii console, remi, chess, etc.

   Spacious terraces can also be enjoyed on unprimed days or relax by reading a book, playing table tennis, or admiring the breathtaking view of the Olteţ Gorge with the Polovragi Monastery or the Great Field.

   The garden vault, adjacent to the forest, is waiting to be used for barbecues and parties, along with family or friends. For those who want to enjoy the holiday there is a swing, a trampoline and a playground with sand and toys.

   We are pleased to offer more details about the objectives you can visit in the area. These include the Polovragi, Hurezi, Bistrita, Arnota, Tismana or Mint Monastery Monasteries. You can also take hiking or mountain biking tours on Olteţului Gorges to the Olteţului curb, at 1650m. Polovragi, Muieri or Bats caves will fascinate you with their unique world. Last but not least, at a throw away of Baile Sacelu, the Ranca Ski Resort and the famous Transalpina give you unforgettable views.
