We are Luca and Andrea, two friends.

I, Luca, worked in the world of communication and events, while growing my interest in cooking and food, which are, today, my passions.

I, Andrea, I am a designer, I work in the world of fashion and fabrics. In 2015 I became Diletta's dad, my greatest joy. Our lives crossed in Barcelona, ​​in 2005, it was immediately friendship. From that moment on, even though we changed homes, jobs, relationships, we managed to cultivate a bond, consolidated over time. Today, together, we are realizing a dream.

At the age of thirty, our lives seemed to have taken a clear direction, in some respects satisfactory, but for others incomplete. In fact, they both lacked something. We left for Fuerteventura, where we could slow down, reload and move towards a lucid and conscious decision. Intuition knocked on the door: "Why not create a place in which to share with others the same need to meet again?". It was then that the search for a place began that would welcome our doubts and uncertainties, a place in which we felt in harmony with ourselves and the outside world, without anxiety or pressure.

THE PROJECT

Our dream, to which we have given the name "Queen of Olives", is to give life to an oasis where peace and well-being reign. What we wanted and created is not the usual receptive structure: the idea that underlies it comes from respect for nature and for ourselves, as well as the desire to offer an experience of health and pleasure.

Not just tourism, therefore, but Experiences and Inspirations, in a space in which to regenerate and return satisfied and inspired by everyday life. Not only a well-being detox vacation, but also a place where you can re-discover the five senses, where you can listen to the sounds of nature, smell its aromas, admire its colors, taste its flavors and caress its creatures.

Queen of Olives is energy, creativity and harmony: she wants to relate people and nature, body and mind. "Queen of Olives" will be your refuge. Here you can slow down, express your needs and satisfy them, alternating occasions of silence and privacy to the pampering of our services.

To welcome you, not only the enthusiasm and friendliness of Luca, with its rich and regenerating breakfasts (and not only), but also a lush outdoor space, typical of the nature of the area, and a comfortable, functional and well-kept interior space in every detail from Andrea, in which - beyond you - there is already everything.

AREA

We chose the Valle d'Itria as a place that could welcome us: the land of the trulli and of the dry stone walls without end, of the labyrinthine countryside, of the millenarian olive trees, monumental, symbol of fertility and rebirth, strength and purification. Inserted between two seas, the Ionian and the Adriatic, in this valley the warmth of the earth is as strong as that of the people, rooted here for a long time.

The Regina di Ulivi B & B is located between Cisternino and Ostuni, a land of trulli, a few kilometers from Alberobello, Unesco site. The area is known for the beauty of the rural and coastal landscape, cultural traditions, history and architecture of listed villages among the most beautiful in Italy, the food and wine excellences, the welcoming and engaging atmosphere typical of Southern Italy. Here everything is close at hand: during the year, you will always find a good opportunity to experience the uniqueness of this place and it will be easy to reach destinations of great interest, such as Lecce and Salento, Bari and its coast, Matera, the Gargano, or leave for distant destinations like Greece.

THE PLACE

The Regina degli Ulivi B & B integrates harmoniously with the architecture and the local vegetation: it is in fact composed of a central trullo from which stands a large veranda. Here, you can enjoy our exclusive and refined breakfasts. This shaded space allows internet connection via Wi-fi. In front of the veranda there is a swimming pool, strictly made of stone and surrounded by a botanical garden, inspired and created with a Zen concept of natural oasis. All around you will find an expanse of two and a half hectares of land, where you can admire, and who knows, endless varieties of vegetation such as ancient spices, ancient olive trees, fruit trees, Mediterranean scrub and rare specimens of wild orchids. For guests Regina di Ulivi has a Lamia Regina and two trulli. The rooms have been designed and built respecting the tradition from the whiteness of the walls to the naturalness of the stone floors. To give identity and uniqueness each solution has been characterized by the decorative signs of bedspreads, curtains and towels, made with ancient natural fabrics and strictly hand-printed. In the rooms, in the niches, there are small plants from all over the world, which decorate the spaces as if they were sculptures.

I'm Luca, I worked in the event and communication industry, but my interest for cooking and nutrition, which are today my greatest passions, was growing growing. I'm Andrea, a designer. I work in the fashion world. In 2015 my daughter Diletta was born, and she is my greatest joy. We met in Barcelona in 2005, we immediately became friends. Since that moment, we have been able to nourish an increasingly strongbond. Today, together, we are making our dreams come true. In the age of thirty, but somehow incomplete. Both of us were missing something. We traveled to Fuerteventura where we could slow down, recharge our energy and move towards a clear and informed decision. Intuition knocked at our door: "Why do not we create a place for ourselves?". We felt like we were trying to get our eyes on our doubts and uncertainties, a place where we felt in harmony with ourselves and the environment, without anxiety nor pressure.

Our dream, that we named "Queen of Olives", is the creation of an oasis of peace and well-being. It is not the usual bed and breakfast: it was born from the respect for nature and from the desire to offer an experience of health and pleasure. Queen of Ulivi is not just about tourism but it is a place where you can regenerate yourself and go back to your daily life. We offer not only an experience in which you can rediscover your five senses: listen to the sounds of nature, smell its scents, enjoy its colors, taste its flavors and caress its creatures. The outer space is lush, loyal to the nature of the land. The interior space is cozy, functional and careful of the details by Andrea - a space where, besides you, there is already everything.

The Location

Queen of Olives harmoniously blends in with the local architecture and vegetation: it is, indeed, composed by a central trullo. Here you can enjoy our exclusive breakfast and use our wi-fi connection. Facing the veranda you will find a stone-made pool surrounded by a botanical garden, inspired to a concept of natural oasis. All around you, where you can admire, or maybe discover, vegetation varieties like old spices, centuries-old olive groves, fruit trees, Mediterranean brush and rare examples of wild orchids. Queen of Olives welcomes guests in three types of accommodations: Lamia Regina, Trullo A and Trullo B. Each room is uniquely characterized by precious bedspread, curtains and towels, all made of hand-printed natural woven. The rooms and the recesses are adorned by small sculpture-like plants.

We chose the Valle d'Itria as our place: the land of trulli and endless dry-stone walls, of majestic millenary olive trees, symbol of fertility and rebirth, strength and purification. Standing between two seas, the Ionio and the Adriatic, the warmth of the land is as strong as the warmth of the people Regina di Ulivi lies between Cisternino and Ostuni, the land of the trulli, not far from Alberobello (UNESCO site). This area is renowned for its beauty and its heritage, its history and architecture of some of the most beautiful villages in Italy, excellent eno-gastronomy, and the typical warm vibe of South Italy.
