Tornabuoni Arte - Galleria Arte Moderna e Contemporanea - Firenze

The Tornabuoni Art was founded in 1981 in Florence in Via Tornabuoni, thanks to the passion for the art of Roberto Casamonti. Passion born of a father art collector of his time now the Italian Novecento. Over the years, the gallery opens the exhibition venues of Milan (1995), Portofino (2001), Forte dei Marmi (2004) and more recently also in Florence (2014) in Via Maggio dedicated to young artisti.La increasingly active search addressed to an international collecting led the founder to open also two galleries abroad, in Crans Montana in Switzerland and in Paris in 2009. The exhibitions in different locations spread in organizing each year an annual collection with the aim of presenting a choice of international avant-garde artists of the twentieth century (Picasso, Miró, Kandinsky, Hartung, Poliakoff, Dubuffet, Lam, Matta Christo, Wesselmann, Warhol, Basquiat) together with major artists historicized the Italian reality. They highlight artists of the Italian Novecento as De Chirico, Morandi, Balla, Severini, Sironi, together with the most important artists of the second half of the twentieth century Italian as Manzoni, Fontana, Burri, Dorazio, Marini, Boetti, Ceroli, Tomato. Today Roberto Casamonti with his children Ursula and Michele continue the search so assiduous always giving new insights on new vanguards (Pablo Atchugarry, Luigi Carboni, Serafino Maiorano, Francesca Pasquali, Cristiano Pintaldi, Gioacchino Pontrelli) paying particular attention to historical research. The gallery is present annually in major contemporary art fairs such as the FIAC and the Biennale des Antiquaires in Paris, TEFAF in Maastricht, Art Basel Miami Beach, Art Basel Hong Kong, Frieze Masters in London, Arte Fiera in Bologna, Miart in Milan . And 'ongoing collaboration with museums and foundations and is performed consulting activities for private and public collections.
