Agriturismo "L'Antica Petra"

The Antica Petra is located in the town of Pietravairano, in Terra di Lavoro, Alto Casertano, in an unspoilt area, not far from the Roman Theater of Monte San Nicola where you can also take a walk during your visit.

The Antica Petra is housed in a farmhouse of the late '800, built of lava stone of the volcano of Roccamonfina, was inhabited by old priests of the village until being donated, in the early 1900s, to the shrine of Our Lady of the Rosary of Pompeii.

Redeemed in the 50s it became property of the Bellaiuto and Magnante family and is surrounded by greenery with ample space to live in complete freedom.

We find ourselves in a family environment that brings young people and adults closer to nature, plays a wine and horticultural production that every day provide our kitchen to prepare the recipes of local tradition (black pig of Caserta, salami and cheese, seasonal vegetables , etc.) and to allow visitors also the direct purchase at zero kilometer of our food that you can, on your return home, serve on your tables.

The Antica Petra is a large outdoor laboratory, a simple and quiet place, which gives everyone the opportunity to discover the agricultural-food traditions typical of our lands.

Our goal is to transmit our commitment dedicated to the conservation of the territory, the environment and traditions.

The Antica Petra is equipped, by appointment, also to offer young guests also educational activities in the spirit of "if I understand", that is through visits to our animals (sheep, pigs, hens, horses) horseback riding, visit to the educational apiary, laboratory activities, APE-ritive for children, etc.

Inside the Antica Petra Company, which can also be visited every Sunday before lunch, your children can find many little friends like sheep, pigs, chickens, horses and more.
