Bastionen - Nyborg Teater & Kulturhus

The Bastion is Nyborgs Theater and Kulturhus located centrally in the heart of Nyborg - The Kingdom of Denmark. It is a distinctly new Funen culture lighthouse, with its unique historical theater building dating from 1897, at one time has a popular and majestic spirit. A beautifully inspired cultural center sprawling with life, theater, music, debate, culture and much more - for all.   Nyborg City Council allocated funds for upgrading and modernizing the historic property so Nyborg could be enriched with a new cultural house with top professional scene conditions, sound and light etc. The many beautiful original columns, mosaics, symmetrical vaults and cuts create an atmosphere where A guest feels the wings of history, and every room has its history and charm.

Particularly magical is the large newly renovated theater hall, which radiates with a rare original beauty that is fascinated by substance and an absolutely unique natural sound and acoustics.

In the short term, the Bastion has become a state-of-the-art modern living culture house filled with music, theater, entertainment, lectures and much more. Kulturhuset houses both theater and music events at the professional level as well as amateur level and offers a wide range of community-based and citizen-initiated activities.

The bastion's diverse life is carried out by firemen who each burn to create a nuanced palette of cultural experiences for both new citizens and the rest of the Danish population of all ages.
