Casa Museo De Durante-Marinelli

During the Casa Museo De-Marineli it is run by the "Memories and Traditions" in memory of Dr. Luigi Buono.

The association deals with the Social Promotion, a non-profit. It was born with the intent to promote all activities aimed at enhancing the rediscovery of those traditions that characterized Lucan medieval villages.

The House Museum is placed in the main street of the old town of Marsicovetere, still considered one of the most characteristic and picturesque villages of the Agri Valley.

The exhibition is organized on two levels:

• At FIRST LEVEL This is a private collection of nativity scenes, offered by Dr. Rosanna Marinelli, consisting of over 200 nativity from around the world. The collection is presented with pieces and unique scenery created specifically to reproduce what was / is the marsicoveterese tradition, and Lucan.

• On the Second Level has been rearranged a noble house dating back to the early 900. All that you will see, from the ground up, the flooring, the entrance portal etc., are original pieces, some dating back to before the 18th century.

You will discover what many of you do not know and we will show you how our great-grandparents would have remedied a homemade lite in the kitchen. VI show the simplicity of how you used to live, and at the same time the elegance of some "comfort" that remain timeless.
