Casa Rural Alkaras

Limestone, tufa, abobe, wood, lime and Arabic tile are the materials with which La Tiná de Atrás was made and then also, they were used in their rehabilitation to achieve what is nowadays the Alkaras Rural House .

Tinada is the name they call animal ranches in the Sierra Segura, and that is what was originally the Alkaras House until its rehabilitation and transformation into housing.

Alkaras House has an older part where we wanted to respect its origins to the maximum during the rehabilitation and has a part of new construction, which are gradually integrated in a harmonious way.

The rehabilitated part is rectangular with thick stone walls joined with visible mortar. It has two heights and the room is diaphanous. In the lower part there is the kitchen-dining room and in the upper part, which is a loft, there is the main bedroom and the library of the house. Each floor has 50 square meters.

From the old part of the house is accessed through a door to the part of the house of new construction, where the distribution is as in a normal house. In it there are two more rooms, the bathroom and the laundry room. The new part has 72 square meters in total.

As a last, the jewel of the house: El Patio. A patio made of stone with a lot of charm, designed to enjoy it with the privacy you deserve. The patio has 35 square meters.
