Cutty Sark

Built in 1869 to carry tea back from China, Cutty Sark survived high seas, storms and mutiny, and travelled far and wide to almost every major port across the globe. Family fun Our family events take place throughout the year. Meet Cutty Sark’s longest serving master Captain Woodget, the ship’s cook and other characters from Cutty Sark’s past. Smell and touch samples of the ship’s cargoes in the lower hold; from tea to coco beans, coal and pickles. Download ‘Captain Woodget’s Apprentice’ on the App Store or Google Play, and have a go at unfurling the sails or ringing the ship’s bell.
