With passion and passion, gallery owner Ankie Onnes organizes exhibitions of figurative art six times a year. She works with a regular group of artists she presents in a solo, duo or group or thematic exhibition. Ankie presents both renowned artists and young, promising talents. Galerie het Raadhuis is located in the characteristic Groninger Hogeland, in the former town hall of Eenrum. The monumental Amsterdam Schoolpand from 1930 was relieved of her original task, but has kept the tooth of time and gained a new life. Now the building houses five beautiful exhibition rooms and an impressive hall divided over two floors. A large, varying collection of paintings can be seen in the stockroom. The gallery also has an artwork of Theo Onnes's work (www.theoonnes.nl), the gallery owner's spouse. This inspired artist was known by his striking paintings of cows and goats. His work is permanently seen in Gallery the Council House. Galerie het Raadhuis offers you art in a unique location, in the immediate vicinity of the Lauwersmeer and the Wadden coast.
