About us! In 2003, Raitis Zink founded a public fund "The Latvian Art Museum" with some of his contemporaries. The Foundation's main task was to acquire and collect biographical news, photo materials and paintings covering 83 students of Professor Wilhelm Purvitis.

During its existence, the Foundation organized about 30 exhibitions, in which all pupils of V. Purvītis were represented by paintings. Most of these exhibitions were broadcast on Latvian television.

As the RL legislation changed, the fund was renamed the association. In the framework of the activities of the Latvian Art Museum, R. Cinks published a catalog, and also organized exhibitions for Andrejs Gērmanis and Rūta Šteinerte. Exhibitions were also held for other contemporary artists who did not belong to V. Purvitis' school.

Due to the lack of time and material resources, the book "Vilhelms Purvītis and his school" is still not published, as well as a larger edition on the same topic, which contains five books. To date, two catalogs have been issued for V. Purvitis School "Felikss Čipans" in 2008 and "Vilhelms Purvītis Schoolchildren" in mid-December 2014. At the same time, the largest exhibition of V.Purvītis pupils' paintings took place in the history of Latvia, in which all 83 students were represented at the same time. It was 16 years since the purchase of the first three works until the last, for 83 pupils, to purchase work.

Among the pupils of V. Purvitis there are well-known surnames: Artums, Baumane, Egle, Kreics, Kalnroze, Kalnins, Padegs, Pladers, Pupols, Melnars, Melbarzdis, Skride and Stāraste.

There are those who are more widely known abroad: Gail, Meiler-Krastina and Puzina.

R. Zink is currently working on collecting data and photographic material from the Independent Artist's Unit, collecting catalogs and literature. In the future, it is also planned to publish a book on this topic.
