Open to the public since 1987, thanks to the initiative of Steenwerck union, the Museum of Rural Life presents new generations the farm activities, activities and amenities of the village houses of the early 20th century. The Rural Life Museum is the ideal place for family outings. In a playful and enriching setting, pass on their skills to younger people. Nothing is missing: agricultural machinery, housing, artisans, shops, school ... More than 30 reconstructions scattered in a large farmhouse from the early 18th century, you will travel through time until 1950.
From top to bottom, everything visit, through the vegetable garden, pasture and arboretum. The walk ends in time to the tavern "A cheerfulness", where many traditional games await young and old. Since its opening, the museum has hosted a monthly theme day, so it offers every year from April 7 to October animations.
The Museum is also a place for cultural, we regularly shows: concerts, storytelling, theater, poetry, exhibitions (painting, sculpture, photography).
