The Museum of Naive Art and Art Singulier

At the time of its creation in 1967, the Museum of Naive Art and Art Singulier is the first and only French institution dedicated to Naïve Art. Laval Castle is the setting for this exceptional collection which features the work of major self-taught artists like Henri Rousseau. During your visit, you will have to discover these unsung artistic movements whose works are characterized by the exuberance of forms and colors, scale reports and unusual perspectives, and an abundance of detail.

At the museum, you will also discover singular artists whose work lies halfway between Naive Art and Art Brut. Through many plastics innovations, these non-standard artists bring new life to the self creation.
