Museo Casa Ibáñez

Ibanez House Museum is one of the largest collections of Contemporary Art in Andalusia. It created between 1996 and 2004 by Andrés García Ibáñez (Olula del Rio, 1971), painter young and valued career in the Contemporary Realism, was officially opened in November 2004. Since then it has become the most significant cultural endowment Almanzora one of the most representative Spanish Southeast. Its management corresponds to the Foundation Museo Casa Ibanez, an institution created in June 2005 and owned by the city of Olula del Rio and the Association of Municipalities of Valle del Almanzora. From July 18, 2007 the museum is part of the Andalusian Register of Museums of the Ministry of Culture of the Andalusian.

The museum's collection are made at present by 1200 inventoried works, all made by Andrés García Ibáñez wing Fundación.Setrata therefore from the private collection of the artist, both his personal work and those of other authors who have been hoarding soon more than a decade, which offers visitors the opportunity to learn all the creative universe of the painter (work, tastes and influences). The scope of this collection is modern and contemporary Spanish art from Goya to the present, with special attention to the great Spanish figurative tradition. Thus, alongside olulense painting artist, works by Goya, Sorolla, Madrazo, Benlliure, Benedito, Chicharro, Inurria Matthew Benjamin Palencia, Pinazo, Tàpies, Saura, Golucho and Antonio Lopez, among many others are exhibited. the most significant of the twentieth century almerienses authors as Ginés Parra, Perceval, Capulet, Siquier Gilabert and Perez are also represented.

Casa Ibanez Museum Olula del Río Ibáñez is twinned with the Museum of Melilla, located in the historic building dela Torredela Vela. Unainstitución opened in September 2012, managed Porla Consejeríade Culture dela CiudadAutónomay consisting of a hundred works of Spanish Art, selflessly donated by Andrés García Ibáñez.
