Museo de América

The Museum of America brings together extensive collections from the different cultures of the American continent, allowing not only admire unique pieces but also assess the ability of the American man to develop different life strategies manifest themselves in various symbolically, many times a strong miscegenation.

The funds kept in the Museum of America, are made by the ancient collections of Archaeology and Ethnography American National Archaeological Museum and had previously belonged to the Museum of Natural Sciences, as well as donations, deposits and acquisitions of new works. Its theme covers a lengthy period from the American prehistory to the present, with special emphasis on pre-Columbian archeology, ethnography and colonial art.
