The Museo dei Cappuccini Milan (part of the Capuchin Cultural Heritage non-profit entity) intends to offer an 'opportunity to learn more about the reality of the religious order, present in Lombardy from 1535, has been able to be appreciated by the people for his service daily among the people. Through works of art (many unpublished) coming both from the archive of the Order and from some of the numerous fraternity located in Lombardy, the Museum presents the thinking and activities of the Capuchins, the cultural and religious context in which they operated , in spacious paths of the tradition and history of Milan. The selection of the permanent collection, in fact, alternating with temporary exhibitions, pursues the aim of preserving, studying and disseminating the history, art and culture, with the spirit that has always pervaded the activity of the Friars Minor Capuchin of Lombardy. This is well expressed in the words of Fra Galdino, in the famous quote of Manzoni in "The Betrothed": "We are like the sea that receives from all sides and back to deploy." Why the works of art that, for different reasons, are the patrimony of the Order of Friars Minor Capuchin, are "returned" through the museum so that everybody can enjoy. And for this admission it is, and will, always free, leaving it once again to the generosity of each for the support of the Museum.
