Muzej Međimurja Čakovec

Today, the Museum of Međimurje Čakovec owns the Archaeological, Cultural and Historical, Historical and Ethnographic Department, then the Art Gallery with the Memorial Collection of Ladislav Kralj Međimurc, Exhibition Salon and Professional Library. The Museum also has a restoration-preparatory workshop and a photographic laboratory. The museum activity takes place on 5,000 m2 of exhibition and work space in the Old Town palace, and the Museum's fundus contains 25,000 exhibits of archaeological, cultural, historical, historical, ethnographic and visual character from Međimurje region. As owner, the Museum cares about the protection and reconstruction of the Old Town complex in Čakovec and the Chapel of St. Jelena in Šenkovac.

The permanent exhibition of the Međimurje Museum is located on the 1st and 2nd floor of the Old Town. The museum management is on the ground floor. The Museums also run the Exhibition Hall for temporary exhibitions, and in the atrium of the palace there is a monastery, a collection of stone monuments.
