The Port Festival is an initiative "Citizens for Citizens". This is a Music Festival, which takes place in recent years in the summer grove katakolo.


Started in 2012 as a weekend under the heading «Zero Port Festival», indicating the experimental character. After the great success and participation in the world next year held the first festival Port, with a total duration of five days -the not track lasted three days and was enriched with many events, such as theater, cinema, photography, graffiti, Dj set, art workshops, acrobatics, climbing, camping and environmental and artistic actions of groups and associations.


The Port Festival aims at highlighting the citizens-volunteers activities and strengthen social solidarity actions to support vulnerable groups. For this reason admission is free. Instead ticket, spectators are invited to bring along their long term food, clothing, textbooks and stationery.


So far, the festival has strengthened the Social Grocery Municipality Tower (2012 & 2013), the Social Tutorial Tower Municipal (2013), the 2nd EPAL Tower (2014) and the Social Grocery of the 1st Lyceum Tower (2014-2015). It also aims to raise awareness of the local community and expanding the volunteer network for further activities throughout the year.


To hold the festival, volunteers have completely taken the organization and financing. We work with the Directorate of Secondary Education Ilia, achieving the goal of following the example of the first High School Tower and create joint social micro groceries within the county schools to strengthen weak economic families. We aim to channel the goods would collect more readily and to a greater number of people who need them.

We set as a target to distribute goods more quickly and help a greater number of people who need them. Port Festival is a festival by citizens for citizens.
