The museum is aimed at anyone interested in archeology, cultural history and nature, and a visit can be complemented by a walk to the area's settlements, high and dirt roads.

Tremhøj Museum is located in an archaeological site that has probably been inhabited as long as there have been people in Denmark, as evidenced by the findings of objects, burial mounds and settlements.

Tremhøj Museum is established at the Malenelyst family farm in Tvingstrup Nord for Horsens. It contains a number of fine stone and iron age foundations from the area, and has its name from a large bronze age high 100 meters above sea level north of Horsens fjord. The high is marked in the landscape and from the top of the hill you can see the whole of Horsens city and the fjord and on days of good visibility you can see parts of Funen and Samsø.

Tremhøj probably originates from the ages of the Bronze Age, 1800-1100 BC. and is protected. As far as known, there is no dug in the hill, so nobody knows what it's gonna save. But there is no doubt that there are people of distinguished genus who have been buried in such a high one with such a conspicuous location.

The museum is opened on selected days. It is possible to enjoy brought food and drinks can be purchased on site.
