Uns lütt Museum Dargun

A museum of a special kind is located in the former guest house of the monastery-palace complex in Dargun. In 15 rooms on a total of 760 m², visitors can expect exhibits on regional history. It is a comprehensive collection of the ordinary and the extraordinary. The exhibits once belonged to the house, yard and garden, were needed in the old craft or used by our ancestors in agriculture or forestry.   In the medicine room you will find utensils from agricultural, dental and veterinary practitioners.   The "service room" of the stationmaster, as can be seen, was rescued from the station at the end of the Dargun railway history. Noteworthy is the exhibition about flight and expulsion at the end of World War II with original reports of the victims; she also received a lot of attention on the North.

On the spacious outdoor area and on the threshing floor, visitors to the museum will find other agricultural equipment and machinery. Almost all are functional - they are there to touch and try. Just dare! Swing the forging hammer yourself, hit the shoes of the cobbler or work wood on an old wheelhouse of wheelwright. And do not miss the lovingly landscaped cottage garden. "Us Lütt Museum", run by an association on an honorary basis, grew into a prestigious museum. With great love, his dedicated members have designed the exhibition rooms, maintain the historic machinery and equipment and organize special exhibitions and action days.
