Dear guests,

Is it Ostalgia, when many former GDR citizens, for whatever reason, yearn for the aromas of their childhood?

Lignite and Trabbigestank is transfigured, Lolek and Bolek - Master bottleneck Kurt Drummer and many others who were long forgotten, appear in our thoughts again.

It is not our goal to glorify the East, but to support the memory and documentation of 40 years of GDR everyday culture.

All items displayed here reflect areas of everyday life in the GDR and do not want to be understood as treasures.

We would be pleased, if the design of our restaurant might even bring a smile to your lips and forget the often difficult everyday life for a short time.

How was it really, the everyday life in the GDR?

With your support could become our restaurant: a real museum, a "must" for "Wessis" who want to know more and an "oh yes ...." for "Ossis", who think back and want it.
