La Selvina is located in the territory of Monte Porzio Catone, on the slopes of Tuscolo (on a natural terrace overlooking Rome upstream of the road that connects Frascati to Monte Porzio Catone) and is bordered by the ancient Villa Mondragone of 1500 that was of Pope Gregory XIII, who in the same issued the Bull of reform of the Julian calendar in 1582. The company buildings have a rural architecture that combines well with the environment and traditions of our countryside. In the vineyards the ancient vines are cultivated from which the famous Frascati Doc and Frascati Superiore Docg are obtained. The grapes previously selected are vinified with modern oenological techniques; in addition to Syrah, Sangiovese, Cesanese, Montepulciano and Sauvignon grapes, which are always produced in their own vineyards, they produce I.G.P. Lazio and Castelli Romani Rosso. Particular attention is given to the cultivation of the olive groves of Genazzano and Monte Porzio Catone, from which the homonymous extravirgin olive oil is born. By privileging quality, La Selvina continues the ancient wine-making tradition of Frascati and the olive growing in the area.
