Rakvere has a population of 17000 and its history dates back as far as to the year 1302; here the historic Rakvere stronghold with the old town streets and the town's modern centre offer exciting discoveries both for small and big adventurers.

It is especially convenient to link holidays or a conference in the Aqva hotel with half-day trips to the Lahemaa National Park or eastward, to the Kuremäe nunnery, the ancient border town Narva and the Mining Museum in Kohtla- Nõmme.
