Cinema Teatro Verdi

The Teatro Verdi in Martina Franca is linked to the history of the city, to whom it became one of the most recognized symbols. The history of the theater, symbol of Martina culture, began in 1920 when there was his first inauguration as Teatro Comunale almost opposite the Palazzo Ducale, council offices. In 1932 the theater underwent the first radical restructuring due to a fire that destroyed the wooden floor, which was later rebuilt in stone. In 1940 the mayor of the municipality ceded the properties of the structure to Miali family, while in 1950 it was sold to Dilonardo family.
