The Nôtmûne Koartwâld (Korenmolen Kortwoude) was built in 1864 to replace a standard mill that burned in that year. The mill was in operation until 1946 when the wicked cross was blown in a heavy stupid, after which time the engine was dumped for a while but the mill fell into decline. In 1990 it was decided to restore the mill and in 1995 the mill was re-commissioned.
The mill is now operational every Saturday morning and wheat is ground for a local baker.
The entrance is free.
