Galleria Fumagalli was born in Bergamo in 1971. Since 1990, the gallery was directed by Stefano Fumagalli and Annamaria Maggi who have chosen to follow a historical art informal program, poor and sull'astratto art with, more recently, a look young artists, representing some great twentieth-century artists. From 2007 onwards, the direction is entrusted to Annamaria Maggi. Since 1991, it is committed to supporting and promoting some of the best Italian and international artistic talents. Over the past 25 years (1991-2016) of activity Galleria Fumagalli has presented 65 personal and 25 collective, published over fifty books and collaborated with Italian and foreign museums and institutions. With the opening of the exhibition spaces of via Bonaventura May 2016, Galleria Fumagalli sets the stage for a new season, reinforcing the strong link with the artists who have collaborated in the past, continuing investigation of other cultural contexts, with particular attention to Abstraction, the Body Art, Minimalism and Conceptual Art, up to a specific research work and targeted support to young talents.
