Ib Jorgensen, one of Ireland’s leading fashion designers established his art gallery Jorgensen Fine Art on the upper floor of his fashion salon in Dublin in 1992. On closing his fashion salon, he expanded his gallery, exhibiting paintings & sculptures on two floors of his elegant Georgian premises. Jorgensen Fine Art quickly became one of Ireland’s leading art galleries holding three major group exhibitions per year in addition to monthly solo exhibitions of Irish & international artists.
In 2016, the gallery, now known as the Jorgensen Gallery moved into its current location on the same street where it was first established, and now shows paintings and sculpture by contemporary artists in addition to selling select antique furniture & lamps.
While the focus of the new gallery is predominantly on contemporary Irish art the gallery also sources & sells late 19th/early 20th century paintings on behalf of clients.
