Filmclub "Kino Großraming" - Nostalgia meets modern cinema technology
In 1993, some cineastes from Großraming decided to revive the old parish cinema and to use the 300-seat cinema hall in the center of town for cinema productions. In a cozy atmosphere - the parish hall with cinema exists since 1957 - cinema friends can watch a movie in modern cinema technology once a month, usually it is the first Saturday.
One of our goals is to promote the idea of art and tolerance by presenting valuable films with a view to and into other cultures, preferring European productions, especially Austrian film. Furthermore, it is our concern to show the diversity in today's film world, which is available off the blockbuster. Satisfied and excited moviegoers are an incentive for us in the choice of films - varied and up-to-date.
We want to offer the opportunity to question one's own attitudes or social and economic contexts in order to develop new ideas and perspectives. The inviting ambience in the cinema foyer and the diverse audience contribute to the lively and refreshing exchange of ideas before and after the screening.
Our target audience is anyone who shares their love of cinema with us and enjoys watching movies with others - distracted only by occasional throat-clearing, sobbing, or laughing at their neighbor.
We are happy to inform you via email about our program: register at post [at] kino-grossraming.at.
