Located in the former kitchen building of the castle in Kadriorg, the Mikkel Museum is the only public museum dedicated to private collections in Estonia. Until September 7, the exhibition "Colors of the Golden Age" is open on two floors of the museum. Estonian classical painting from Enn Kunila's collection, which brings to the audience one of the most remarkable private collections and creations of the most loved Estonian artists in the first half of the 20th century. There are nearly 50 works by Estonian painters, such as Konrad Mägi, Nikolai Triik, Ants Laikmaa, Ado Vabbe, Endel Kõks, Richard Uutmaa and others. The exhibited works are thoughtfully divided into three: landscapes of the homeland, scenery created abroad and works depicting people. The exhibition is accompanied by extensive multimedia, - an educational and publicity program.


In addition to private collections, the museum's program of changing exhibitions also focuses on introducing and thinking about issues related to art collection, offering an extraordinary opportunity to get acquainted with treasures behind Estonian homes and to highlight the more personal side of art collection.
