Peter's I House, the Emperor's Old Palace, is one of the oldest museums in Tallinn. This building, together with a large area of land, was bought by Peter I in 1714 by the granary von Drenteln. The museum is proud of genuine interior items that surrounded Peter and his wife, Catherine, during their stay in Tallinn. Since 1806, the house has been operating as a public museum. Today it is a branch of the Tallinn City Museum and an integral part of the Kadriorg Palace and Park ensemble.
